Who we are
Clear, verified guidance for people entering and running a private therapy practice.
What we publish
Private Practice Workflows covers two things clinicians actually search for: how to become licensed in their state, and how practices use software day to day for intake, documentation, billing, and scheduling. We write in plain language, for practitioners making real decisions.
Our software coverage is workflow-first and vendor-neutral. When we mention a specific tool, it is for context, not endorsement. We do not publish "best software" rankings.
How we handle licensing information
Licensing content is "your money or your life" information, so we treat it accordingly. Every state's requirements are sourced from that state's official licensing board, each page shows a visible last-verified date, and we re-check requirements on a recurring schedule because fees, hours, and rules change.
Requirements can still change between our checks, so every licensing page links directly to the official board and asks you to confirm before acting. We are an independent information resource, not a licensing board or legal advisor.
